GOALS

The RT Urban and Spaces Sociology offers a place for research and debate on all questions
involving the social groups in urban and rural areas, their spatial distribution,
their relationship to space, their dynamics and interactions, public policies
concerning these territories, as well as structural changes that affect cities.

Its mission is concerned both theoretical issues (urban lifestyles, urbanity) and empirical
analysis, qualitative as quantitative (relationship between territories, segregation, social mix,
urban riots, governance of cities.). It's mission is to support doctoral students in their network
of research and to make known sociological research conducted in France on the city.
